This combined visitor center and training facility was refurbished to contain over 20 interactive displays and multimedia presentations. Developed as an outreach facility for the community and students, the center also aids in training power plant employees.

Paris Design provided complete project management services for the fabricator, including programming, design development, interactive display interpretation and implementation, as well as supervision of installation. Fabrication was completed for $150,000 less than the original
estimated budget.

The visitor center includes several exhibit areas, a lecture hall, and a green house. Displays focus on energy sources, nuclear fuel mining, safety, processing, environmental concerns, and operations relevant to the power plant and its neighbors. The Future Fission Greenhouse has an impressive view of the power plant’s cooling towers.
