Hampton Roads Naval Museum: The U.S. Navy in the Cold War

Located at the Nauticus Museum in Norfolk, VA, the Hampton Roads Naval Museum houses the battleship Wisconsin and a variety of exhibits that span more than 200 years of U.S. Naval History. The Cold War exhibit is the final gallery in the museum. It appeals to a large segment of visitors, who served, or had family members in the Navy during the cold war era.

The exhibit was designed to fit in with the stylistic nomenclature of adjacent galleries. Use of stark color and metallic detailing created a distinct “Cold War” ambience.
